WHO WE ARE
We are a group of artists and music lovers that enjoy live music a lot and think that most other people do/should too.
WHAT WE ARE
The CoOp is an intimate, accessible, community-oriented concert space in downtown Ann Arbor.
WHY WE ARE
We want to give artists a platform to perform for an attentive and thoughtful audience. We want to give listeners a space to slow down, be present, and immerse themselves in a palpable experience. Most of all, we want to foster a strong artistic community because we believe that art inspires conversation and connectivity, that music soothes the soul, and that creative expression is the best way to celebrate diversity, address adversity, and build community.
WHEN WE ARE
Due to social distancing practices, we will be live-streaming our shows on Facebook and Instagram for the foreseeable future. All shows have a suggested donation of $5, as we are fundraising for Black Art Futures Fund. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @thecoop.aa to stay up to date. Stay safe!
WHERE WE ARE
We jam at Openfloor Studio, 213 S State Street, Suite 2. AKA a small and swanky space above Totoro / Ama / The Getup Vintage.
